Who: Upper Potomac Rowing Summer Camps is sponsored by Rock Ridge Rowing, Inc. The camps are open to all middle and high school students in the area. No experience is necessary.
What: The first couple of days we will cover boat safety protocol and technique on the land simulating machine called an ERG. Then we will be on the water in boats. (Please know each person is not guaranteed a rowing seat at each session and may have to do a rotation riding in the safety launch.)
Where: The location is at Algonkian Regional Park Boat Ramp, 47001 Fairway Dr, Sterling, VA 20165. Students will initially meet at the boat ramp parking area, then head to the boats. (TBD this may be moving to Beaverdam Reservoir in Brambleton VA).
When:
- Summer Camp1 (two weeks)
- June 19-28, M-F, 8am to 12pm
- Summer Camp2 (two weeks)
- July 8-19, M-F, 8am to 12pm
- Cost is $450, plus USRowing membership of $20-$25.

- only 16 seats available per camp, open to middle and high school students. No experience necessary.
- Note there will NO refunds due to possible bad weather, adverse river conditions, or sickness during camp.

- Week of June17-21, M-F, 8am-12pm
- Learn2Scull Camp2 (TBD, one week)
- Week of June24-28, M-F, 8am-12pm
- Learn2Scull Camp3 (one week)
- July8-12, M-F, 8am-12pm
- Learn2Scull Camp4 (TBD, one week)
- Week of July15-19, M-F, 8am-12pm
- Cost is $375, plus USRowing membership of $20-$25 if rower does not have.

Why: Summer Rowing Camp is a great way to experience the beauty of rowing. For beginners they get to learn about the rowing stroke. For experienced athletes, they get to hone their technique and get a great workout.
How: These are the steps for the registration process. Please complete by the noted due dates and times.
- Complete the Online Summer Camp Registration Form.
- Summer Camp, due date is Friday 6/14/2024 11:59pm.
- Learn2Scull Camp, due date is Friday 6/14/2024 11:59pm.
- Accept teamsnap.com invitation for Upper Potomac Rowing. Teamsnap invitation will triggered once you have completed online athlete form or online payment. It is very important to join as all communications are done through this system.
- Online payment via paypal portal below. Paypal account is not needed.
- Summer Camp cost $450, due date is Friday 6/14/2024 11:59pm.
- Learn2Scull Camp cost $375, due date is Friday 6/14/2024 11:59pm.
- Payments past deadline have a late fee of $25.
